What is the APIDA Learning Community?

The Mission College Asian Pacific Islander Desi American [APIDA] Learning Community is a transfer- support cohort grounded in the Filipino concept of Kapwa, the concept of connection with oneself and the spiritual connectedness with others.

This program is designed for students of all backgrounds to delve deeper into their own unique story to explore identity and build community through an Asian American studies lens.

As a learning community, students will explore APIDA culture and relevant issues, receive individualized counseling and transfer support, opportunities for culturally relevant on & off campus programming, leadership development, and get placed with an APIDA peer mentor.
