Information Technology Overview

Information Technology supports the colleges in their use of technology and information resources. It is comprised of three units: Applications, Operations, and Educational Technology Services.

Applications

  • Developing and maintaining custom software applications specific to the colleges and district 
  • Integrating various systems and applications (e.g., student information systems, learning management systems) 
  • Providing data analytics and reporting capabilities 
  • Planning and implementing upgrades to systems and applications 

Operations 

  • Ongoing helpdesk technical support for students, faculty, and staff 
  • Support for administrative technology needs 
  • Maintenance of network infrastructure for wired and wireless connectivity 
  • Assistance with software applications installation, usage, and troubleshooting 
  • Ensuring cybersecurity of technology resources 

Educational Technology Services 

  • Support for instructional computing needs, including computer labs and classroom technology 
  • Providing audiovisual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools, with installation, maintenance, and training 
  • Assistance with software applications installation, usage, and troubleshooting 
  • Offering consultations and training sessions for technology integration and software use 
  • Laptop loan program to provide equal access to technology for students
