The Mission College President’s Circle is the most prestigious philanthropic group at Mission College. This group is comprised of caring and courageous community leaders, local businesses, successful alumni and individual donors who are dedicated to the success of Mission College. Telework Information

Telework Values Framework

After assessing the telework experience during COVID-19, Mission College developed a Telework Values Framework to position the college as an ideal employer. Through a lens of student-readiness, Mission College wants employees to find joy in their work and opportunities for work/life balance. Below is the final draft of the telework values framework vetted by the campus community. Microsoft Teams Training is recommended to enhance interoffice communication. The Docusign process is below to request telework with your supervisor.

Mission College Board Reports

Each month, the Mission College Executive Team develops a comprehensive report to the West Valley-Mission Board of Trustees, to be reviewed at the monthly board meetings.

Below are the board reports for each month for the academic year 2024-2025.

Virtual Town Halls

Each month during the academic year, the Mission College President and Vice Presidents host a virtual town hall through zoom to help engage the campus community and share important information and updates with the campus. The town halls take place during College Hour from 11:30am-12:30pm on the first Wednesday of each month. The average attendance is approximately 80 team members per town hall and the town hall is recorded and emailed to the campus community to further enhance communication and transparency. Presentations, open forums, and surveys are also shared in this venue to receive the most feedback and exposure possible from the campus community. Budget & Enrollment Summit

The Mission College Leadership Team, across all constituencies, meets annually to connect as leaders across campus and discuss the upcoming budget and enrollment climate at Mission College. The Summit Outcomes include:

  1. Building Community - To build community, empathy, trust and interdependence, and leadership capacity as educators and as a college leadership team.
  2. Budget Climate - To build a collective understanding of Mission’s current and future budget and enrollment climate
  3. Create Understanding - To create a consistent understanding of data collection, budget development, the student-centered funding formula, and enrollment strategies used to support Mission's long-term sustainability
  4. Meaningful Dialogue - To have meaningful, student-centered, equity-minded dialogue about the student-centered funding formula tied to enrollment recovery, efficiency, retention, and student success

2024 Budget & Enrollment Summit - Friday, May 10, 2024

IEPI - Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative

In 2023, Mission College submitted an application to the California Community College Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) to request participation in the IEPI - Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative process. Below is the application and our letter of receipt. Our submission is around creating "schools/communities" that align with our organizational restructuring to build out the identities of our new divisions to increase a sense of belonging, retention, and success for students.

Leading from the Middle

In 2023, Mission College submitted a "Leading from the Middle" Application to the RP Group to support the development of an Anti-Recidivism Community of Praxis and training program around supporting our currently incarcerated and justice-impacted students. In May 2023, Mission College was selected as one of the twelve colleges to participate in this powerful initiative with the RP Group! You can find more information about the process here.

Professional Learning Taskforce

A Professional Learning Taskforce was formed with support of the College Council to review and assess all professional learning occurring at Mission College and to make recommendations on best practices to enhance professional learning for all constituencies. The work will occur from October 2023 to December 2023 with recommendations being shared with College Council to adopt next steps.

Strategic Education Master Planning

In 2023, Mission College began our process to update our Strategic Education Master Plan (SEMP). The previous master plan sunset and the college mobilized to create a workgroup to lead the development of the new plan. This plan is a guiding document to support the college's mission, vision, and values by defining goals for the next three years. This plan will be composed collegially through multiple activities including campus climate surveys, constituency focus groups, and environmental scans. As a part of the continued efforts of Mission College to improve access, communication, and student success, the Website Redesign Taskforce will undertake the redesign efforts of the Mission College Website through an equitable, participatory, and transparent process.

Brand Enhancement Taskforce

Mission College is undergoing a review of the College's brand to assess opportunities for enhancement and develop a comprehensive brand book that is inclusive, equity-minded, and develops a strong and consistent brand with our students and community. 

FY 2022-2023

In FY 2022-2023, the Brand Enhancement Taskforce completed their charge to facilitate a campus-wide brand enhancement process with engagement from all constituencies. This resulted in a refreshed logo, expanded color palette, and completed Brand Book for Mission College.

Enrollment Management Taskforce Charge

Mission College is prioritizing discussions around strategic enrollment management strategies. The Enrollment Management Taskforce is charged with making recommendations to the College Council on a number of items related to enrollment management data, growth, and retention strategies.

Organizational Restructuring Plan

In 2022, West Valley-Mission Community College District offered a Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan (SERP) resulting in 44 Mission College impacted positions by retirement, reclassification or consolidation. Of the 44 positions, 18 positions were repurposed, kept, or filled, and 24 positions were recommended for deletion from Mission College’s position control.

With these retirements, the College is utilizing this opportunity to restructure Mission College to meet current and long-term institutional goals. Below is the Organizational Restructuring Plan and accompanying FAQ document based on received feedback for phase one of the plan. The plan will be reassessed after the completion of the College's Strategic Education Master Plan in 2023 to ensure Mission College is staffed accordingly to meet its strategic goals.

Participatory Governance Taskforce

In preparation for Mission College's Accreditation Mid-Term Report in 2024 and ISER in 2027, the College is assessing its current participatory governance structure. The Taskforce will make recommendations to College Council on determining governance gaps, a streamlined participatory governance structure and ensure alignment with ACCJC standards.
