About the Symphony

Mission College Symphony is "Santa Clara's Orchestra" and a community gathering place for musicians of varying age and skill level throughout the Bay Area. Formed in January of 2007, it is led by accomplished Mission College Music Instructor Joseph Ordaz.

The orchestra gives Northern California residents numerous opportunities to work and perform with one another in small ensembles, as well as in chamber groups.

The goal of the Mission College Symphony is to provide music and education to the Mission College campus and surrounding communities. All concerts are free to Mission College students.

A short audition is required for all new members. An orchestral excerpt and short solo piece is recommended. If you have any questions about repertoire and to schedule an audition time, please email .
