Common Course Numbering (CCN) System

The Common Course Numbering (CCN) System is new to students in California and serves to simplify student transfer. Mission College begins phasing in courses into this new numbering system beginning Fall 2025. Check out our new course numbers and names in the crosswalk below.

Instructional Method Definitions

In-Person

All instruction occurs in-person at an assigned location.

Hybrid

Some instruction occurs in-person at an assigned location, and some instruction occurs online either asynchronously or synchronously.

Hyflex

Instruction occurs in-person, but students also have the option to attend via online synchronous videoconference. 

Asynchronous Online 

All instruction occurs online, with no requirements for online synchronous videoconferences.

Synchronous Online

All instruction occurs online, with required attendance at synchronous videoconferences. 

Work Experience/Internships

Courses in which students earn credit for work experience or internships.
