Apply for the Fire Prevention Internship Program

The Fire Prevention Internship Program, a partnership between Mission College and local fire agencies, offers students hands-on experience and training to prepare for careers in fire prevention and public safety. The program combines classroom instruction with 10–14 hours of paid weekly internship work, covering topics like fire behavior, emergency response, hazardous materials, and building systems.

Designed for both new students and those already in the fire service, it supports career advancement and transfer to four-year colleges while preparing participants for roles such as fire inspector, investigator, or fire marshal.
