For five years, Dr. Bansil has found her niche in pharmacy as a member of the Pharmacy Purchasing Department for the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center – Health and Hospital System.
In this role, she and her team manage medication procurement for Santa Clara County’s 15 Outpatient Pharmacies and over 100 Clinics. Dr. Bansil has become an expert in anticipating shifting medication usage and demand in a world where medication backorders have become a serious hurtle to patient care.
In recent years, Dr. Bansil has spearheaded COVID-19 vaccination efforts in her local community. Dr. Bansil uses this knowledge from a varied background to bring a balanced and unique prospective to the classroom. In her free time, Dr. Bansil enjoys spending time with her family, including a rambunctious five-year-old, and throwing pottery on the wheel.
