Anne has taught math at Mission College for more than 30 years. Her favorite class to teach is statistics because it is so interesting. Statistics has a little bit of everything: psychology, economics, ethics, engineering, business, philosophy, logic, history, medicine, politics. You name a subject, and statistics touches on that subject.

Since Anne is an Associate Faculty, she has another job doing math and statistics for rockets… including one that sent its payload all the way to Jupiter!

"While the individual man is an insoluble puzzle, in the aggregate he becomes a mathematical certainty. You can, for example, never foretell what any one man will do, but you can say with precision what an average number will be up to. Individuals vary, but percentages remain constant. So says the statistician."

"Statistical thinking will one day be as necessary for efficient citizenship as the ability to read and write." - HG Wells
