Allison worked in the corporate world before deciding to become a Biologist. It was the lure of the natural world and all the beauty and wonder that it holds that made her change careers. She now enjoys sharing her enthusiasm about biology (living things) with her students.
She completed her Master’s degree in Biological Science with emphasis on Organismal Biology & Conservation and Ecology from San Jose State University and holds a Certificate in Online Teaching. While attending SJSU, Allison spent much of her time outside of class assisting other Graduate students with their field work giving her more chances to be outdoors enjoying the wildlife. Allison has been teaching since 2013. She also teaches at San Jose State University, San Jose, CA.
Allison is very passionate about ‘opening up the world around us’ to her students. For quiet times, she enjoys all kinds of brain games (gotta keep the brain active) and putting together jigsaw puzzles. For the not so quiet times, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends!
