Harmony Folse is from Panama City, Panama in Central America. They only moved to the USA for college, and are the first in their immediate family to live in the USA. They have a passion for biology, especially Genetics as they spent their graduate career conducting research in that field.
They have expertise in working with fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster) and in the ovarian development of these flies.
Harmony’s career goal is to become a full-time faculty professor at a community college in the Bay Area. They are excited by teaching, and aim to create an equitable and inclusive classroom environment for all their students. Outside of the classroom, Harmony enjoys playing video games and roller-skating.
