Alyssa Larios is the Director of Disability Support Program and Services (DSPS) and the Valor Center. Alyssa’s first day will be on Monday June 24th. She has served students with disabilities in various capacities: as a DSPS Counselor at Fresno City College and as a DSPS Supervisor/Coordinator at Evergreen Valley College in East San Jose.

A product of the community college system (she attended Reedley College in the central valley), Alyssa is grateful for the care and investment she received during her own community college experience and is excited about continuing to provide that high level of care and investment at Mission College.

She is passionate about ensuring DSPS and VALOR students receive intentional and quality services and resources that are founded on an ethic of care. Similarly, she is committed to supporting faculty and classified professionals with navigating the complexities around disability law and identifying the best ways to supports the needs of our DSPS and Veteran students.

Alyssa holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology (emphasis in Social Services) from the University of California, Davis. She also holds an MS in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from California State University, Fresno. Alyssa is excited to begin her pursuit of an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a focus on Community College/Higher Educational Leadership from CSU Fresno in Fall of 2024.
