Mission Welcomes I.S. Nursing Delegation from Osaka

Mission College is excited to share the news of the upcoming visit by a distinguished delegation, including students, faculty, and administrators from the prestigious I.S. Nursing College in Osaka, Japan.

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Mission College is thrilled to announce the arrival of a distinguished delegation comprising students, faculty, and administrators from the esteemed I.S. Nursing College in Osaka, Japan. The visit, scheduled to take place from February 22 to February 29, marks the second year of an enriching educational partnership between Mission College and I.S. Nursing College.


During their stay, the delegation will engage in a series of immersive educational activities meticulously organized by Mission College. These activities are designed to provide valuable insights into the diverse facets of healthcare and medical education. Highlights of the itinerary include an exclusive tour of Mission College's state-of-the-art Nursing Simulation rooms, a glimpse into the rigorous training at the Fire Academy, exploration of the EMT program, and an in-depth look at the Pharmacy Tech program.

The delegation will also have the opportunity to broaden their perspectives through visits to notable healthcare institutions, such as a nursing home in San Jose, and a visit to NVIDIA Corporation to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and the medical field. A special visit to a Forensic lab at West Valley College promises to also be an illuminating experience.

This collaboration represents a commitment to fostering global understanding and collaboration in the field of healthcare education. The partnership between Mission College and I.S. Nursing College has grown stronger over the years, emphasizing the importance of international exchange in shaping well-rounded healthcare professionals.

In reciprocation, eight Mission College nursing students will be embarking on a transformative journey to Japan during the upcoming spring break. Their visit will encompass a comprehensive exploration of I.S. Nursing College and various hospitals in Osaka, providing them with firsthand exposure to patient care and nursing practices in the Japanese context.
